During yet another successful edition of the Beirut Design Week at Antwork Kantari, EU delegation to Lebanon and Expertise France held an exciting discussion around “designing the future of Tripoli’s furniture production”.
Renowned guest speakers in the industry took the stage with interesting topics on how to push Tripoli’s wood crafting legacy further.
Mrs. Rola Haidar, Head of the Consultancy and Development Department at L’Artisan du Liban discussed the capacity of the wood processors in Tripoli while Mrs. Nada Debs, Lebanese furniture designer, shared the importance of design in product development.
Mr. Dany Abboud, Member of the Board of Directors of the Association of Lebanese Industrialists introduced the upcoming Minjara platform and label in Tripoli and shared the activities to take place around it.
Finally, Mr. Ibrahim Zahreddine, co-founder of Innovation Factory held an important presentation about the innovation factory contest and its sketches results, linking Tripoli’s wood manufacturers to Lebanese designers.
The event was concluded with a brunch where designers, manufacturers and furniture enthusiasts mingled and shared ideas.
