In collaboration with local partners, Civil Society Organizations and NGOs, Minjara developed a pragmatic solution to help secure houses and give families a sense of safety after the massive destruction that followed Beirut’s port blast. Minjara’s team, in partnership with professional carpenters of Tripoli, visited damaged houses, assessed the damages, removed shattered doors and replaced them with others that were temporary and adjustable. The team brought back the broken doors to the platform in Tripoli, where the skillful carpenters did their absolute best to fix the broken doors and manufacture new ones. The temporary doors were then moved to other damaged houses till new ones were ready.
