Laetitia Honeine is a Belgian-Lebanese product designer and interior architect currently living and working in Beirut. She graduated from ALBA (Académie Libanaise des beaux arts) in 2015 with a master’s degree in Global design. The objects she creates are usually affordable and easy to assemble. Her material of choice are metal associated with plywood panels. In addition, she enjoys experimenting with raw materials like concrete and wood. In her free time, she paints with different mediums. At the moment, Laetitia is teaching Design methodology classes to interior architecture students in ALBA. When she is not designing, she is a crazy cat lady that helps stray cats; getting them shelter throughout colder days and fresh water during hot summers. Laetitia was commissioned by Minjara for her minimalist and modern approach; being a fan of Bio-Design, she is always inspired by nature and wildlife. The five-legged dresser she worked on is esthetically inspired by marsupials and their way of walking. The project is called Wallaby. It is a modern and playful take on the classic highboy dresser.
